Liuhuaying Yang

Liuhuaying Yang is a data visualization designer and faculty member at the Complexity Science Hub in Vienna, where she leads the Visualization Team. Her work transforms complex scientific and societal questions into accessible, interactive visual experiences at the intersection of research, design, and public understanding. She has collaborated with organizations including the MIT Senseable City Lab, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, SMART Future Mobility in Singapore, and SPH Lianhe Zaobao. Her work has received multiple international awards, including two Gold Information is Beautiful Awards, first place in the World Dataviz Prize, and the City of Vienna’s STEM Promotion Prize. She also founded the annual Visualizing Complexity Science workshop.
