Lotje van den Burg

Lotje van den Burg is an Industrial Design Engineering graduate from TU Delft, specialized in Design for Interaction. Her graduation project, developed with Mijksenaar, explores the future of wayfinding in 2035 using the Vision in Product Design (ViP) method. Her work approaches wayfinding as interplay of space, technology, human behavior, and societal developments. The research examines factors such as digitalization, stress, autonomy, governance, and freedom; and translates them into a framework of nine wayfinding typologies reflecting different states of mind. Lotje is particularly interested in the ethical role of designers at the intersection of public space and technology.
