María del Mar Navarro

María del Mar Navarro is Associate Professor of Visual Communication Design, at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University, USA, and Ph.D. Fellow at the University of Arizona, USA. Dr. Navarro has taught visual communication design practice, research, and theory in higher education internationally for over a decade. Her research focuses on the historical and contemporary practices of visual communication, specifically in pictographic numeracy, contributing to the understanding of the development and application of visual languages in different cultural contexts.
