Pia Pedersen
Pia Pedersen is Associate Professor at the Institute of Design and Visual Interaction, Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation, and affiliated with the Cluster for Visualization Studies. She specializes in pictogram design, legibility, evidence-based design, infographics, and health information design, combining research through design with extensive knowledge of graphic design histories. Pedersen leads the Bachelor’s programme in Visual Design and Interaction, mentoring students in both theoretical and practical aspects of visual communication. She is the author of ‘Beyond Rows of Little Men’ (PhD) and has published numerous articles on ISOTYPE and pictogram legibility, advancing clarity and accessibility in design.
