Call for contributions

We invite papers and case studies that interrogate the role of information design in government interactions.

  • How do these documents shape citizens’ experience of a government?

  • When does clarity empower—and when does it conceal?

  • How might information designers resist harmful administrative systems?

  • What responsibilities do information designers bear when working on civic infrastructure?

In other words: ‘Let’s discuss what civic administration looks like—and what it enables.’

Proposals

We are looking for proposals for either a 30 minute or a brief 10 minute presentation.

Each proposal should consist of:

  • a 300 word description of your talk. Topic, relation to theme, benefits for the listeners.

  • a few visuals to show what you will be talking about.

  • your details (name, e-mail, affiliation, postal address)

  • your biography of about 100 words.

The format is up to you: academic paper, case study, critical reflection, speculative proposals, or policy-critique. The main requirement is that the presentation must show visual materials.

Review and selection, informing speakers: March 15th, 2026.
